Creating A Special Space for Semi-Privacy

The design targeted the atrium space located in Tianjin University, China. The purpose aims to create a semi-privacy space for student studios as the current space lacks privacy and interaction.

The design is inspired by a visual principle shown below. We recorded students’ multiple actions and transformed the photo into specific strip-pattern photos. Then, we employed smart sensor technology to recover the actions we recorded.
